55% of UPF’s incoming students agree that the activities the university offers are useful

Ariadna Coll and Maria Jimenez. Barcelona. From our team of InBarcelona we created a survey to find out what UPF’s incoming students think about the university and the city. Universitat Pompeu Fabra offers a wide range of activities going from the Voluntariat Lingüístic ( every Saturday they propose activities to discover Catalunya) to talks that suit tastes of all types. The university presents a tutor to each of the students to facilitate their exchange experience too.

That is why, following the line, only 11% of the students who answered the survey think that the activities are not useful. The other 34% is occupied by the people who have not tried them or have not heard about them. Those who answered yes, come to terms with the fact that the activities help to get in touch with new people and to discover the city. Most of them stand out the Voluntariat Lingüístic.

We also asked them why did they chose the catalan capital, Barcelona, to make their exchange. The favourite option was “it is such an amazing city” with 58,1%, followed by “it has the best universities on my degree”. So, for the vast majority, Barcelona was their first option because of the cultural wealth and the weather.
